MS-7 "test-box"

The photo of the MS-7 with the A-B switch, 7-line knob, etc. was a test fixture produced to test the audio circuit of a home satellite receiver.  This fixture was never used during the production of amateur radio products.

The "A" position provided a 6.8 MHz audio subcarrier and the "B" position provided a range of 5.4 to 8.0 MHz.  The knob allowed adjustment through this range.

The "pwr" LED was a power "on" indicator.  The "SPKR" switch allowed the internal speaker to be turned on or off.  The "PWR" switch turned the fixture on or off.

The "12 VDC" jack on the rear was a 12 VDC source.  The "PHONES" jack was for headphones.  The "ACVM" jack connected to an AC voltmeter for monitoring the audio level.  The "A" jack was the 6.8 MHz Fixed output and the "B" jack was the Variable output.  These two jacks connected the fixture to the home satellite receiver being tested.
