The Drake TR270 FM Transceiver.
You will not find a more complete turnkey solution to address the FM voice, packet,
satellite, and data applications of radio operation. The TR270 integrates all these
operating modes seamlessly into one transceiver. Plus the TR270 employs the quality
engineering and uncompromising craftsmanship that epitomize the world renowned Drake
standard of excellence. When you demand the best, you demand a Drake.
|
 | Dual receiver operation. A high performance two-meter
transceiver (142 -150 MHz 1 ), plus a wideband receiver,(136 - 174 MHz and 420 - 470 MHz.)
Both receivers feature dual VFO's and operate independently with dual volume and squelch
controls.
|
 | Both receivers feature high dynamic range front ends
to eliminate annoying inter modulation distortion interference.
|
 | Ergonomic design allows for frequency tuning via
tuning wheel, up/down buttons, or direct keypad entry. A front mounted speaker assures
quality audio.
|
 | Extensive LED backlit LCD display allows easy,
instant reference of all operating and setup parameters.
|
 | All operating parameters, including repeater offsets,
are factory installed for ease of use and immediate operation of the TR270. The operator
may customize settings as desired.
|
 | A single RS232 interface provides complete
transceiver control and configuration via a personal computer, as well as TNC270 and
DEMOD270 communications.
|
 | Switchable IF filters (15 / 40 kHz) on the wideband
receiver.
|
 | Transceiver output power, high/medium/low, is easily
selectable from the front panel.
|
 | DTMF encoding and dialer and/or CTCSS tone encoding
& decoding for both 2 meter and wideband (decode) receivers.
|
 | Designed and
pre configured for optimum 1200/9600
packet radio performance with the optional Drake TNC270. The TNC270 comes with Windows®
and DOS software and can be factory installed.
|
 | Multimode AM/FM fax/data operation with the optional
Drake DEMOD270. This plug-in card provides demodulation of transmissions including NOAA
APT, GOES, and HF WEFAX (additional equipment may be required) and ACARS, RTTY, and other
facsimile type signals. Extensive DOS operating software and manuals come standard with
the DEMOD270 and allow for integration with a personal computer.
|
 | 100 programmable memories for each receiver plus 200
additional memories in data mode for weather satellite and satellite modes provide up to
400 total.
|
 | Multiple scan functions in either memory or VFO
modes; scan by carrier, time or seek modes. Each receiver features independent scanning
and a priority watch scan.
|
 | Built in 140 watt, 115/230 VAC switching power supply
for use around the world. 2
|
 | External DC input for mobile or emergency power
operation.
|
 | External TNC connection.
|
 | External audio-in jack for copying shortwave fax/data
transmissions.
|
 | External speaker jack.
|
 | Configurable to operate as a repeater.
|
 | High quality dynamic microphone is included.
|
 | Switchable 13.6 VDC preamp power on wideband receiver
antenna.
