Hello
Jean-Marie,
The
BP-7 was not produced by the R. L. Drake Company. This is a
"home-brew" project of someone. I suspect the unit started out
as an MS-7. The MS-7 cabinet was used to house the unit.
The three position push button switch assembly appears to the same as
used in the TR-7, Store, Up, Down. We used a red cap on the L-7 and
L-75 push button for Standby. The band knob and the load knob are
the same as used on the TR-7. The "tune" knob
appears to be the same as used on the L-7 or one of the tuners.
I
suspect, who ever built the unit purchased the cosmetic parts from the
Drake parts department to make it appear as much like a Drake unit as
possible. It was very well done and looks good. However, it was
NOT built by the R. L. Drake Company.
73,
Bill Frost
