The all transistorized HAGENUK SSB-Communication
Receiver EE 334 has been developed specially for use in radio stations aboard
ships and covers the entire frequency range from 10 KHz to 30 MHz. A
special input protection circuit guarantees a trouble-free operation also with
high input voltage at the antenna input resulting from the own ships
transmitter’s energy, for instance at duplex operation. The receiving
frequency of the EE 334 is indicated digitally via NIXIE-TUBES. In order to
simplify the operation of the EE 334 the frequencies of 10, 1 and 0,l MHz,
generated via a frequency synthesizer are set via rotary switches, the
remaining 100 kHz-increments are tuned continuously. Via an additional control
the frequencies are be tuned with an accuracy of 2 Hz per degree. Besides the
modes of reception Al, A2, A3, A3H, A3H and A3J (Upper and lower sideband) the
EE 334 includes the facility to operate the ISB-mode (independent sideband).
Operating this mode the two sidebands with different information can be
received separately, because two channels - one for the Upper, one for the
lower sideband - are switched into circuit. The high sensitivity of the EE 334
guarantees a clear reception of poor signals even under extreme conditions.
The dimensions of the EE 334 correspond with the int. 19" standard.
